I chose its name to continue the Egyptian Mythology started by OsiriX and then Horos viewers, without any more deeper meaning. However, after reading wikipedia, I could say that Thoth help the goddesses to restore Osiris’s body, and frequently acts as a conciliator in Horus disputes.
I started to work with OsiriX back in 2012, is a great tool, but not open-source now. Horos took the open-source flag, but both are still MacOS oriented, and I believe that a software have to be multi-platform. The software do no have to push the user to a specific Operative System, this decision has to lie in the user’s hands. That is why, I would like to try to create a great multi-platform software like OsiriX and Horos.
